Sudden upswing in Dino Zei sales?

Is it just me or has there been a sudden surge in the number of Dino Zei models appearing on eBay?

There has been a flood of Anonimo and Dino Zei on e-bay for a couple of months now. I've seen three of the exact same model DZ selling for $5k, $3k and $2.4k. Weird!!!

I have seen some good buys, but no cash right now.
Because nothing says "you're a loser" more than owning a motivational poster about being a winner.

Have seen a lot too Pete, though as above there has also been a sharp rise in Anonimo's for sale on Ebay full stop, with some good deals to be had! Unfortunately not on Professionale's and white faced Militares though...

Swapping one for a stray pig I have in the back yard would a good start!

Nah I reckon the $3000 mark would be a good buy.

Actually this made me look and I saw one Dino Z and 5 Professionals last night. Now I see 3 Dino Z plus two Porsche editions that appear to be Dino Z style cases. One is a "prototype" that always worries me since you never know what you are getting there. So that makes it 5 of each.

Some of the prices there appear to be high or above retail ($4607.51 for a Wayfarer 1, strange buy it now price like it is a pay off for something).

    Agreed.

There was a 6001 from Singapore not too long ago for around that price which would have been a decent buy, but nothing lately.

I mean I have seen variances in some of the listed "prototypes" that would ruin the watch for me. Example I saw a WayFarer II "Prototype" that did not have lume on the dial numbers (one of my favorite features). It had something else that was different that escapes me now but it ruined the watch for me. Some of these are disclosed and some are not. Me personally I avoid prototypes since you really don't know what you are getting or if it is up to all the standards of a production watch. How do you know a prototype meets water resistance even for bathing?
