    Tried on the Notturnale

    Walked by an AD yesterday and saw this in their window;

    Obviously I had to go and try on the Notturnale :)

    Sadly, I just don't get Anonimo, on some pieces of the Notturnale everything is perfect, i.e. symmetrical printing on the dial, on this one, I guess its one of the earlier Prototypes, but I hate how unbalanced the dial is with the logo to the side and a blank space at the 12 o'clock.

    Why couldn't it be like this one or the one above in the forum logos?

    All was not lost though, I tried on the San Marco and now I'm in love :D Wears so well. Gonna start searching for one.

    Same the same piece in Singapore and got the same feeling. I guess this is what makes Anonimo unique after all :)

    Guys you are right, the blank spot @ 12 looks weird... First Prototype i seen with a big difference.

    Chocolate dials.... I Don't know i love the previous San Marco Black dial.

    Very nice also the Militare Crono 10 Anni

    The chocolate dial was quite muted. Similar to a Panerai chocolate dial, i.e. in bright light you see the chocolate color, in the shade its black, much like the pics above. I personally quite like chocolate dials.

    The unbalanced dial printing though, that is a real dealbreaker.

    Actually guys, this is probably just a prototype.

    Both the Anonimo online new model catalogue and one major US dealer feature the Notturnale with the logo under the 12 - a far more balanced look.

    Anonimo 2010 models online catalogue (make sure you scroll all the way down): http://www.anonimo.com/images/catalogo__basic_line.pdf

    Here are pictures of it on AD, About Time's website: All current Anonimo Watches available, call today.

    Agree its probably a prototype, going back today to check out the serial, but its still sold in the retail channels which is in this case a pity.

    Re: Tried on the Notturnale

    I checked the press release for Baselworld 2010 and it shows the model on display at Dickson that was pictured in this post. So the final version on the catalogue has changed, which makes the piece on display closer to a prototype. Or it can be that the model comes with two dial configuration, an early one, in shorter units, and a later one (from the catalogue) in larger units.

    Because of the even smaller number, the "proto" version becomes more attractive to me, given that I do not dislike at all the asymmetry in the dial. In fact it adds a retro \ vintage flavor to the piece, and lately I have been more consistently looking backwards rather than forward when purchasing watches. I will stop by soon and check the piece on my wrist.
