trying to help a friend with Anonimo strap change

Hi. I am a Panerai collector. A friend showed me his Anonimo watch today, I believe it was the Marinai d'Italia model (blue dial watch in first photo on top of forum page). He said the strap was worn, he already has a replacement strap which he took to a local jeweler. This jeweler did not have the tool to change the strap. The screws look like small hex nuts or maybe torx. One on each side, with a tube inside the strap like the pre-Vendome Panerai watches. I told my friend to look in the box, there must be two screwdrivers included, but there were no tools in the box. I have a "third hand" tool I can use to clamp the watch, but what are and where can I get the proper tools for the screws? The buckle seems to be a spring bar, which should be no problem. Thanks in advance for your advice. momar

Thanks for your reply. My friend sent an email to some authorized dealers to see if they could help. The watch was purchased during a trip to Italy. We are located in the US. Do you know the size of the hex tool? Maybe I have the right size or maybe I can buy two hex tools. Anybody know the right size or suggest a source?

Now this change a little, if was purchased from AD just send an email to [email protected] explain the situation and your friend can get the tools here from Anonimo Usa... Good luck.

About the size is less than 1 mm and alost impossible to find, so work to get the oem tools.

The tools are not included with the watch as we have pointed out in another thread. Some dealers do add them but otherwise you must purchase them.

Well seems like we have different sources for information... I got the info from Italy.

As per the thread our moderator said... many of the AD here in USA if YOU ask they can ask Anonimo USA for the tools and that is a different history.
