the $5 DW-5600E from goodwill (my very first g-shock evar)

much to my wife's GLEE .. this $5 G-Shock I dragged home from Goodwill has turned into more of a $25~ish DW-5600E now

battery was dead..knew when bought bought new batteries (2pack $5~) changed battery works fine... however while changing battery I realized the bezel was disintegrating bought a new bezel and gasket from pacparts $15~ shipped.. should have replaced band as well.. going to get nato adapters I think

anyways... here it is my saved from the landfill DW-5600E

Great find and restoration! Just curious, can you look at the backplate to see if it says module 1545 or 3229? My guess is 1545, since degrading already.

DW5600E with module 1545 was produced between 1996 to 2010. In 2011, they changed to use module 3229. Assuming normal resin rot occurs after at least 10 years, and the previous owner didn't expose it to conditions that could accelerate the rot, I say yours was made before 2006.

I've used these types of bands and they're good quality for the price. Also the yellow will go great with the gold painted G-shock and Protection labels on your bezel.
