    2 Custom GLS-5600V (Big pics!)

    Hi,

Here's my GLS-5600V modded G's. I already posted some pictures of my GLS-5600V-1 with the new strap, but now I have changed the bezel too.

The mudman module is unbeatable, and the classic 5600 is so confortable and looks so cool! So I get best of both worlds.

    Here's the parts I used:

    GLS-5600V-3 Case & Module
    G-5600GR-7JF Bezel
    DW-5025B Rising White Band

    GLS-5600V-1 Case & Module
    GW-M5600R-1JF Bezel
    DW-5600LC-4JF Band

    Casebacks:

    Cheers,

    G.

I know. If I am not wrong, I got the idea from an old post by you. :)

Really a great idea. A 5600 with 10 year battery (CR2025), two independent chronographs, snooze with flashlight (love this feature to wake up in the morning and spot the watch in the darkness), 24 h timer, time visible in all modes... And no tide and moon thing, wich is totally useless to me.

I know my choices of colors are not for everyone, but IMO this is the best module that fits in a 5600 if you don't care for solar atomic. Problem with GW-M5600 is that I use snooze a lot and I don't like it downsized to 10 seconds.

Probably GLS-5600 is overlooked because the "weird" straps (velcro and the new leather-like one). But it's and excellent choice, and if you don't like the strap it it's really easy to change for a classic band. You guys try it and you will get a terrific watch.

    Cheers,

    G.

WOW, i didnt know that my rework influenced somebody.

I also think that this module is under-rated.
And i would like to see a positive LCD version of it.

The coming GX-56 module might also be a spin of from the Mudman module.
