200 Series Frogman band length observation

I don't know if this has been noted before, but I just found this out:

I have worn a Dawn Black frogman for the past month or so. The band did not fit perfectly--it was either too tight or too loose, so I enlarged the third set of holes down from the bezel and now it fits well.

I recently got a MIRB frogman off ebay, and I noticed it fits perfectly on the third set of holes--no enlarging needed! I compared the bands and found that the MIRB frogman band is slightly longer on both ends than the Dawn Black frogman's band.

I thought all 200 series frogs would be the same. Apparently not.

Have any photos so I can see what you're talking about?

Here you go. I am pushing down on each of them as far as I can (until they stop moving). The MIRB is clearly a quarter inch longer in total length. It's not much, but it makes a difference for me since I can wear it without having to modify the band.

That's strange, it's actually quite a sizeable difference...

I have a dawn black arriving today, I will check the length of the band in comparison to my other frogman and try and post some pics :)

    Thanks a lot...

How did you enlarge the holes. Reason for asking is this may be a simple mod so my "G" will fit better, since I'm kind of between holes myself.

    Pops...

Awh heck, thinking bout it, the hole/s in/on my 7900 is rectangular. So maybe I'm SOL...

azpops: I heated a metal dart over the stove and stuck it in the hole I wanted to enlarge and melted the resin around the edges of the hole. It works well but it takes a few trials to get it right. It doesn't look perfect, but you can't tell when wearing it, because the buckle parts cover most of the enlarged holes. I am willing to do this if I want a watch to fit perfectly, but only if I already have a spare band for the watch. I prefer not to modify if I can avoid it.

I just checked my gw-200f and gw-202k and they are different in length also, the gw-200f is a little bit longer not as much as shown in your pics. This is an interesting discovery as I also thought all gw-200 series are having the same length.
