Confused 30th Anniversary Set - Keep or sell

    Hey Guys and Girls,

Sooo, the 30th Anniversary fever hit me a while back. I had difficulty getting the entire collection locally, so I sourced them from the U.S. I had to pay a little over U.S. retail for them. I had not worn them, but, I was excited about getting my first froggy as well.

However, when I tried them on, I did not bond with them (as much as I liked). The froggy felt a bit too big for me (although I wear a Pathfinder regularly). Perhaps it is the odd shape. I was not a big fan of the new Muddy, but was hoping I'd like it after I tried it on. Out of the whole set, my favourite is the square GW-M5630A-4JR (this is my first Multiband). Second favourite is the DW-6930A-4JR.

You must be laughing at me....but What are your thoughts, should I hang on to them just because they mark a special milestone and may go up in price. I love certain Casio's like the Pathfinder and DW-6900 Rasta (and other DW-6900 series), which I wear regularly. That's just the thing, If I buy a watch I need to wear it regularly.

    Thoughts?? Thoughts?? Keep or Sell??

30th Anniversary Set - Keep or sell

If you're considering selling them already then I'd say you've made your mind up pretty comprehensively.

If you don't need the money urgently - just keep them - my crystal ball says they will probably hold their value . I only sell watches if I: a) need money; b) want to finance something else (= need money ).

    cheers, Sedi

Re: 30th Anniversary Set - Keep or sell

if I didnt already posess the three out of this collection that I really want, I'd say SELL - to me!
but seriously, I would go with the other comments before me, if you don't need the money, KEEP.
because it is a great collection to have and also because tastes change, and in a while, you might happily
wear them day by day, one by one...
if not, I imagine, you'll always find a happy buyer.
I am not only new to this here G-Shock-Mania (as in, only a few weeks!) but also a very impulsive buyer,
and I have bought a few watches which then seemed uninteresting as the newer ones arrived. but I find myself
circling back to them and being happy about the variety.

30th Anniversary Set - Keep or sell

No point holding on to something you no longer want. Sell 'em, take the money and buy something you will actually wear and enjoy.

Re: 30th Anniversary Set - Keep or sell

Unless you really need the money, tuck them away for a year or two, and then sell them and you will probably get a little more for them because there will be less on the ebay market to compete with and prices may go up. I doubt you will lose money on them if you don't wear them.
