    5600 Advice Needed

I am thinking about getting one of the 5600s, but have three criteria:

    1. Largest digits.
    2. Solar
    3. 24-hour CDT

    Which model best fits?

    Thanks!

if you want no atomic time keeping the g-5600e is perfect. otherwise you try the gw-m5600

Agreed, the G-5600E is your best bet out of the 5600s.

Ditto, the 5600J has the biggest digits of them all, but has only a 24hr CDT (plus atomic sync). The G5600 is a nice compromise and really a nice update to the classic version.

Thanks for your suggestions. The 5600J has a 24-hour CDT? That sounds great!

When they wear out, are the bands on the 5600 series easy to replace? Are they standardized for all 5600s?

This is my choice as well. I think it might be the only choice though that has all the features you need (or the G-5600E variants). The GW-5600J and the GW-M5600 have a weeny one hour CDT. The GW-5000 is also another thought but the price is much higher and unless you have to have a screwback steel case the best option s the 5600E model since the module are the same, sans atomic.

    Re: 5600 Advice Needed

When I owned only my Timex Ironman many moons ago I never used the CDT. Since getting into G-shocks I've found them very useful for such things as baking and parking meters. I found that having a 1 hr one didn't meet my needs once I started using it. The GW-M5600 is still a great watch but I've come to depend on that 24hr (100 is even better) CDT on alot of days.
