    6200 Rally arrived!

Well here is the 6200 Rally.

It's an interesting beast which was bought very cheaply off ebay.

It arrived in a disgusting state with masses of wrist cheese and layers of grime. I soaked it and cleaned it and also managed to get rid of some of the white paint (which I have covered with her nail varnish although another coat is in order.)

There is also a scratch on the screen, any ideas how to polish it out?

This is probably the worst conditioned watch I have bought but I do like it and it doesn't look as bad in the 'flesh' as it does in the flash of the camera!

    Hi Hoochy,

Actually your 6200 looks as bad as my first 6200 looked. I believe it has even the same kind of scratches in the display. It doesn't look bad, it does look used

I have no idea if it is really good possible to get rid of the scratch on the display. I have tried with cell phone pollish, but the display of a G-Shock is very hard and I couldn't polish a scratch away.

Your post is indeed a good tribute to Colin McRae, son and friends. R.I.P.

Well worn G there m8 certainly no worries about scratching it

Perhaps stealth the white lettering out???

Sjors, cell phone screen polish is for plastic i believe, G-Shocks afaik use glass crystals, acrylic polish won't touch glass. To my knowledge, polishing glass requires an inordinate amount of effort and time, plus the special super fine polishes to begin with.

Bugger it then I'll leave it as is! It honestly doesn't look as bad on the wrist as the bezel is fairly dark and the scuffs don't show up as much. As for stealthing the bezel it doesn't look as good on a green bezel as on a black.

It's a curiosity piece as opposed to a display piece lol
