    6900 - how heavy?

    Casio sites don't seem to be able to agree. I've seen 64g, 66g, 68g, and most interestingly, the following (on the USA site):

    Size of case/total weight
    DW6900RC--53.2 x 50.0 x 16.3mm/75g
    DW6900MC--53.2 x 50.0 x 16.3mm/68g

    What does 'RC' and 'MC' mean in this context? Resin case / metal case? But why would metal be lighter?

    Anybody got a 6900 and some laboratory scales to hand?
    I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

    Sorry for posting without knowing the answer, but I really doubt you would be able to tell the difference betweent lightest weight there and the heaviest.

    Now if you were comparing the 6900 to a Seiko monster at 185g you definitely could.

    I'm sure you're right - my occasional tendency to obsessionality stands fully revealed! I have one on the way to me now, so I could always sneak it onto the scales at the Post Office when it arrives!

    With metal band retainer = 68g

    Without = 65g

    With metal face guard, Michael Lau, etc. = 70g

    Cheers, Oz!

    Do you just know this sort of thing, or did you go off and weigh them? Either way, I'm impressed.

    Hi Tribe -

    No I don't. I don't even think about weight as watches are so small and light, and being a big strong man, never seem to notice the difference

    I checked the Japanese website:-D Although I do have a scale and guess I could weigh all the watches, but it would take me a year!

    Prefer to keep email's to a minimum if I can
