Cool 8 days and still no PAW-1500 owner here?

Considering the hype for the new PAW-1500 one might think that someone should have already bought it. So therfore I wonder has anyone here bought it and can take som pictures of it?

The only thing so far is DragonJades little observation of them in a store in Japan.

It seems to be very hard to aquire though, i cant even find one of sale on Japanese Yahoo Auctions!

Perhaps there is some problems in the production of them and it has been delayed?

They are in all the shops that I've seen that usually sell G-Shocks, so they're certainly not difficult to acquire. Maybe they're just not that much liked, popular or well advertised enough at the moment.

I'd say they're a bit too pricey for most people's blood, especially given that we G-hounds know the price will drop sooner or later.

If they don't sell well, it'll be sooner methinks.

I think the prices that I've seen are already 30% off retail, and they don't get lower than that.

Really? I'll be interested to see what they sell for in the US.

With the exchange rate as it is, probably not much difference.

Hmmm.... I didn't see tham discounted anywhere yet... still, this is not a very hot model... most forum member probably fell into two categories:

    - I like Gs and coud not care less for 1500

    or

    - I like protrek / pathfinder but I already have 1300 and I see no reason to upgrade...

To make things more difficult 1300 arguably looks better. I thing these are the reason why no one posted any pics yet...

There is another problem here... new RAISEMAN is due out in July... many of us including myself are saving funds for that one.
If they kept new raiseman "hush hush" maby they would sell more 1500s ... this way I think a lot of forum members are holding out...

Not liked, lets hope that is not the case!

Today I did find some new auctions for the PAW-1500 on Yahoo:

    http://search.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/s...-1500&auccat=0

The cheapest price there seems to be 32000 JPY which is $310.40 and if we use the FromJapan service we get the price 39900 JPY or $387 shipped to Europe for the resin version. And that is a little to expensive I think.

Do you know the discounted price they sell for in retail in Japan?

If they hadn't've made the 1500 so bulky with the massive bezel, it might be a serious contender of things for me to get. As it is, I prefer the slimmer looking 1300 and less cluttered display.
