Advice for a new Super illuminator Atomic Solar watch

My favorite watch so far is my MT-G 1500. I love the dual analog/ digital display, tough solar power and automatic atomic timekeeping.
Best of all, the LED light is so bright I've used it as a mini-flash light in a pinch.

It's time to find it a brother.

Anyone have any good advice on a similar watch? I may even go all digital if needed.

    Thanks for any input!

Have you considered the GD-350-1 or -8? Those have 1.5, 3, or 5-second backlights that are bright enough that some people have raised that as a complaint against the watch, but, for your purpose, it might just be perfect. The watch has a great module, even if it is not solar/atomic, including a vibration alarm, instant timer start from home-time mode, and a big battery that will make you forget about solar power altogether.

Thanks I looked into it and just found another thread on this forum about the GD 350.
    Looks pretty cool.

FYI- how about something like this? I wish I knew what kind of watch that was... :)

For me a bright LED illumination is nothing but a big pain in the butt. I really can't understand why anyone wants to get blinded in the middle of the night... Less is more in this matter, much more. But for the sake of a flashlight brightness, yes the GD-350 is a good choice with two white LED's at 4 and 8.

I m thinking on buying this model, is there any difference between the US and JAPAN import model other than the price?
