Aftermarket straps on new Mudmaster gwg 1000?

Has anyone tried to install aftermarket straps on the new mudmaster?

Re: Aftermarket straps on new Mudmaster gwg 1000?

I had a quick look last night.
Not an easy task, straight up. The Mudmaster strap is composite, e.g. it consist of 2 parts - a strap and a lug wing. Lug wing has to stay for both functionality and appearance purposes. They're also both cut to hug the Mudmaster's round case line.

The space between case lugs is 17-18mm. Any strap of that width would look out of place on a Mudmaster and frankly would make the watch look silly. You can install say, 24mm strap and cut two little square pieces at the top (where the lug screws attach), to fit its 17-18mm lug width. Won't look nice either, IMO.

I'm currently exploring other options, more on that as I get to it.

    Hope this helps a little...

finding and adjusting a custom strap for mudmaster is very difficult.but I guess it is possible...but you cant bring that original strap feeling

Have a look here#275 you can see how the strap mounts to the watch head, not impossible, equally very difficult to achieve the desired look...

Thanks guys for the info here
I guess the idea of putting on a thick 24 or 26 mm strap is out the window .

I'm wondering if any of the other casio composite straps would fit?
That case looks a lot like the GWA-1100...

    They won't, sorry.
    The GWG-1000 lugs are unique.

Not necessarily likely due to the absence of the dedicated light button on GG-1000.
