    Alternate Strap for a Raysman?

I love my Raysman (DW9300) but find somehow the original strap uncomfortable.

Has anybody been successful replacing the original strap with an aftermarket one? Would like to switch to a nylon Zulu type strap.

    Thanks.

    Hi Jan:

I mounted one of my Rays on a Timex fast wrap velcro strap. Fits and looks great. They come in several colors and can be purchased through any WalMart for about $7.USD.

I tried mounting the watch on Casio strap adaptors but the spring bar holes would not line up without modifying the strap adaptors.

    Mike,

How did you mount it? With the original screw in bars? I have been trying to figure out an alt strap.
    Thanks
    Al

    Hello Al:

Yes, I removed the screw bars from the straps pieces and reinstalled them while at the same time installing the Timex fast wrap which has a heavy elastic retainer. The job took about 5 minutes.

Before I began the installation I used an Exacto knife to very carefully remove the Timex logo patch thus creating a sterile strap.

Thanks Mike I will try it. Removing the timex logo is a must!

I love the Raysman, but I also find the strap less comfortable than some, so it just does not as much wrist time.

Isn't it interesting how we wear our Gs. I actually find the Raysman has one of the more comfortable bands.

I would love to see photos of the custom job you did, Mike. Sounds very nice.

Thank you very much Mike. I will try a zulu, I should have a spare one around, or the Timex Velcro strap.

    Thanks again.

zulu adapter doesn't fit too well on mud resistance cases

you will have to some what forced it in

(i've tried it on Gaussman before)
