Am I cured, or just in remission?

Looks like I finally have a buyer for my Fortis, so off it goes.....I've been addicted to swiss diver's for over 5 years. A lot of flipping from a couple of Doxas to a Sinn U1, a handful of Seiko's, half a dozen Marathon SAR variations, even a used Rolex no-date sub. This Fortis was one of my favorites, but after a day or two of walking around with that paperweight on my arm I always found myself going back to my G's. So at least for now, I'm going on hiatus.....strictly G's for a while, and most likely just my 2 muddies as they fit my wrist, and my needs, perfectly. There are of course still a couple of "fashion quartz" watches in the box (gifts from the wife), that will fill in on my rare "suit days". And for those of you that think I am going to fall into the G-collecting trap, I'll state for the record that I have never been a collector, more of a flipper, always looking for that perfect "one-watch". So, we'll see if I'm cured or simply in remission.....after all, that new solar atomic gulfman looks pretty kewl.....

    Sounds like remission to me.

sounds to me like you've simply replaced one addiction with another.
That's ok though. G-Shocks are easier in a monetary sense.

OR, could be a bigger problem since you can get more of them for the same amount............... uh oh.

WISiness is just one of the possible manifestations of male obsessional behaviour. Even if the WISiness abated, it would be replaced by cameras, hi-fi, pens, power tools, and so on. Stick to watches - they're the easiest to carry around.

Mechanical or quartz? Makes no difference - same disease, fluctuating symptoms.

I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...
