    Hi Macs,

For me I like the G-520D-4V as a basic affordable cockpit the best, if you've got a bigger budget, the MRG-121 is a beauty.

Might just be a Gaussman in that budget range. They seem to crop up occasionally on the auctions.

GW1500 is nice if you can read the small digital window and doesn't mind the fact that you can't read the digital windows with the LED

    Re: Analog suggestions?

Under $100 might limit you a bit. The G-100 is a very basic and tough looking model. You can generally get those at your local Wal-Mart or Target for around $60. The G-300 range (300, 303, 304, 314, 315, 350, etc.) usually clock in at under $100 too.

Once you get into the G-500 range, you're looking at metal straps vs. resin and the price increases. However, you can get these watches online for around the price point you're looking at.

Then, of course, when you add solar and atomic, the price increases. That's basically how the afflicition begins - you want bigger, better, faster, and the next thing you know....

Now, top of the line analog, you're talking the GW-1600, GW-1700, MRG-3000, MRG-7000, etc. A little pricier, but well worth it, in my opinion.

I'll let Antonis round it out for you!
