Thanks ! I couldn't get the zilla out of my head after our minister brought one back from the States...

But you don't see them here in the UK least not in shop windows. Online they are between £190 to £295 !

But minister lost interest so today I pulled the trigger. 20 minutes with toothbrush and soapy water followed by metal polish then wax and its nice n shiny.

I'm not actually an analogue fan...but as I like big watches I had to get this. Real pleased with it especially at the price. I'm quite well built (6ft 220 lbs) so it looks good on my wrist...expect slimmer wrists might not suit it so well.

Only thing I was initially a bit miffed with was the second hand doesn't meet up with the 60 graduations around the dial...but looking at it now it does at some parts of the dial not others so perhaps just the way dial is laid out.

Might have got the Ti model from superchrono if this had not been available....but the weight of the stainless is less that I expected and the strap keeps it all under good control. Prefer the shiny stainless finish as well.

All in all am well chuffed. Will probably keep it for special occasions. It's always fun to pull out a special watch you haven't used for a while when flying off somewhere....

    regards, Dave (Carrot)

I was obsesssed with 8100's for a year or two.

If anyone from Casio is looking in....you must use this casing and make a new techno old skool style waveceptor.

    Hi Carrot,

That's a long time ago. Glad to see you are still a big square addict. Marvelous collection!

I agree with you that it would be a great idea if Casio would revive this model again with new features.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

That's a great collection. No wonder it's hard to find 8100s since you got a whole bunch of them.
