Antman functions - does anyone understand them?

Just bought an Antman, which I'm delighted with. I suppose nobody's ever translated the manual into English? I'd love to know the meaning of the Japanese characters on the display. I would particularly like to know all about the radio update function. OK, I'm in London, so I'll probably never get a signal...but who knows, maybe with help from a solar storm or a satellite or an asteroid or something!

P.S. Yes, I did try the search function - I looked for "Antman AND manual" but found nothing.

Rolling eyes Re: Antman functions - does anyone understand them?

    Hi Nick,

We had the same question a long time ago. We had a lot of Antman owners around here, but the outcome was that nobody had a clue about the functions.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

I don't have the watch, but if someone wants to take pictures or tell me the module number, maybe I can help out with what the characters are.

I think I have even a manual somewhere (not sure). I must probably dig deep... I recently found one without a manual, but maybe the other has it.

    cheers,

Haven't got a Japanese version of Acrobat reader in my office, but that's cool...

Do you have time to translate it? it's probably not a dificult watch.

    Cheers,

Thanks for the manual DragonJade, very tantalising! If only I had studied Japanese at school.

Re: Antman functions - does anyone understand them?

Quick run down of the manual:

p1 - watch modes, light, electronic signal
p2 - signal range, manual receive, signal strength indicator
p3 - signal reception on/off, signal type (I think this is about daylight saving time)
    p4 - alarm, setting alarm
    p5 - setting alarm
    p6 - day counter
p7 - day counter, world time
    p8 - telememo
    p9 - telememo
p10 - stopwatch, home time data

Please note my Japanese isn't great, so it's a very rough translation and a bit of guessing.

The Antman has such a cool display animation for the time. I saw a youtube of the seconds counting here.

Are there only kanji characters available in the alarm/timememo screens?
