Any of you guys with a 5000 series (GW-5000, M5600, M5600BC, M5610, etc) live in NJ?

If any of you owners a 5000 series (GW-5000, M5600, M5600BC, M5610, etc) live in New Jersey?

I'm looking to buy one of those models and before I plunk down $$, I would like to actually look at one, and try it on to ensure I like the fit before purchasing. There aren't many new GW-5000's available, so would appreciate if we could meet soon, at your convenience.

I'm leaning towards the composite band, so if you have one of the above on a composite, that would be perfect. I also would like to see the GW-5000 on the rubber/resin strap, or the composite band.

I would greatlly appreciate if you would contact me.

    Thank you!

Go try on a DW-5600E. Very commonly found and it will give you a very good idea of how the GW-5xxx series fits. As for the composite band, just know that it'll fit even better. Only a very marginal few people don't like the bracelet. Most people love it.

Thanks for the good suggestion, but since the GW-5000 costs about $400, I'd kind of like to see one in person before ordering one. I'm sure there's a few NJ guys around.

The detailed photos by Watch Tanaka and by a member with the resin off will give you an idea of what it looks like and how extensive the DLC coating is. Trust me, it looks fantastic. Is it worth $400? That's debatable... varies depending upon the watch budget and priorities of the buyer. I can't recall reading any postings from anyone who bought it and regretted it. There was one guy who was a little ambivalent, but most are happy with it. If you're making good money and don't mind making this uncommon splurge on a digital watch just once, it's probably worth doing. This is a very unique watch. You're really unlikely to run into someone else wearing it, unless you go to a G-Shock convention.
