Anyone with a G7700 show the how different coloured LEDs work?

I was curious as to how the two coloured LEDs are displayed.

Pics or even a clip of it would be even most intriguing.

It is nothing fascinating and an absolute waste of battery.

    Mine is permanently OFF.

Hehe...yeah, I guessed that bit. I would turn it off too.

    Curiosity satisfied.

I think that LED indicators as found on the G8000 and now this G7700 is a cool ad on that ads life to the watch. I have always liked lights and stuff that glow so LED indicators are rather cool

Also it might be a usefull feauture in noisy environments. Regarding battery use the LED indicator is a special kind of LED's that Casio patented in the early 90's and I had a Casio watch in 1994 with 1/1000 second stopwatch a LED indicator and a ton of other functions such as a tachymeter. It lasted 2 years on a battery even though I used the LED heavily so it draws very little power and dont drastically shortens battery life.

But basically it is mostly just a toyish function but I like it!

I think all what I was going to write is the same as Joakim. I think LEDs are fun. I have some Baby-G's that can change the background color of the LED backlight... One color would have been right, three is fun.

This is something neat that I didn't know the 77XX's did. Cool!

But, I would have it turned off too. I had a couple of G-8000's and never used the LED because I was paranoid about battery drain (though I know LED's can be very power efficient).

I don't have my lights on but it would be nice to have the option to do with just those as the alarm almost like the Silencer can go with vib or beep. Would be nice for low light situations where you don't want to bother others with your beeping or something. As it is it is kinda just a curiosity.

I really think it was designed to be used once a year...

    ...at Christmas.

Re: Anyone with a G7700 show the how different coloured LEDs work?

I sometimes use the FLASH LED on my G-8000. I get up at 0500, and my bedroom is quite dark. The flashing light helps me find the watch in the dark. However, I can usually triangulate on the audio fairly well without the light, so the FLASH LED isn't that important. It's nice to have the option, which I would have preferred there also to be a FLASH-without-audio option, such so you could have it configured that way...seems a simple enough option to have programmed into the watch; oh, well.
