    Question Appraisal?

Hi guys, old timer on WUS but first time poster here (I think?). Given my lack of knowledge with G-Shock's, I was wondering what is the proper protocol for requesting an appraisal for a G-Shock that I'd like to sell?

    Re: Appraisal?

I think it's cool to ask, I've seen a few price request posts before. Good idea to post a pic and description (model, condition, box, accessories, etc.) too and I'm sure members will chime in.

    Re: Appraisal?

Casio DW-520. I have two of these, one is in absoultely mint condition, the other has some scratches on the blue case guard but otherwise also in mint condition. No boxes or papers.

Was purchased a few years back when my wife and her sister ran a stationery store. They each got one since they were selling these at the time. Was worn but a few times and has sat in a drawer for about 6 years or so. I just replaced the battery in each and they are up and running.

Here's one pic (please let me know if you need more):

DISCLAIMER: I had posted one on the SC but it is absoultely NOT my intention to hype it as I honestly have no idea what to price them at. I've been around WUS long enough to know that that's not cool so please do not mistake this as such a tactic. Please go through my posts and you'll know I NEVER do things like that. In hindsight, I should've came here to ask first but it's a little late for that now...

I've removed the ad for now so as not to create a conflict of interest. I would appreciate any general appraisals you guys may have on this watch.

    Thx!,

    Re: Appraisal?

The only place I found a DW-520 was on yahoo auctions japan.

The price is a BIN of 14,000 yen ($150 US) but I think this more of a hopeful price, I don't see it selling for that much.

I think yours is probably safe to start somewhere between $70-90, but expect it to sell for under that. It's quite hard to appraise vintage Baby-G's because they aren't as widely collected as vintage G-Shocks and don't come up for sale very often.

    Good Luck!

Thx a lot! I wasn't too far off on my own appraisal then ($79).

    Re: Appraisal?

DragonJade, thx for the post. Both of mine are easily in better condition than those but I guess I can adjust the price as market demands.

    Thx!,
