Band/Bezel Upkeep - What do you use?

Has anyone used any products, such as Armor All or some other car interior products on their watch? Does it soften it up? Bring it back to life? Does it keep the material in better shape? Prevent cracking? Give it that new car smell?

I mean, I feel like there wouldn't be an issue doing this, but someone might know about Casio-eating chemicals in one of the products or something, haha.

    Let me know!

In some older threads there was someone who used to use Vinylex wipes. Former member Iyonk uses something also. Personally, I think nothing is needed to upkeep the resin.

    Thanks for the input!

Mainly asking because I get lots of customers that are curious if there's any tips/tricks to the "plastic" bands, haha. I'm refraining from going too into detail here, if that's alright with everyone else ;)

def. not necessary, the resin is made to stay subtle and is not like the dashboard of your car sitting in the sun for 8 hours a day. by the time it starts to crack itll prob be time for a new watch anyway ;)
a good rinse/wash every so often (depending on wear) is all you need

I used that all times for my cars. It gives a shine on the vinyl, may not be desirable for watch bezel/band. Some people, like myself, don't like shinny resin.

I'm not suggesting this on watchbands but IF you ever want to use a product that BLOWS Armor All out of the water (for your dashboard, rubber, leather etc.) use this stuff: 303® Aerospace Protectant™ for long-lasting finish and shine ...and follow the directions (which are rather unique) I learned about this stuff on a BMW forum I am on and it is really an impressive product!

Soap & water, and a gentle scrub with a soft tooth brush.

I'm mostly a soap-and-water, "wear the watch in the shower when it needs to be cleaned" kind of guy as well.

Like a lot of people, the first time I used Armor-All on a car's interior, it wound up overspraying and/or transferring to the steering wheel, and I wondered why they don't also market it as a lubricating agent -- that stuff is SLIPPERY and won't come off easily!

Several years ago, when I bought a Jeep with a soft top, I looked all over the internet to figure out how to care for the plastic windows and 303 Aerospace Protectant was frequently recommended, so I gave it a try and was quite satisfied with the product! I haven't used it on my G's YET, but every time I see one of these threads I think "the next time I do the Jeep windows, I should do that to a G or two and see how it works" -- and then I forget.
