    Battery on the GW6900

I am considering purchasing this watch but have read some negative things on this forum concerning the battery. Is there any truth that the battery on this solar watch is unreliable or doesn't last very long?

    I currently own a G2300.

Thank you in advance and great forum! Very helpful!

I don't think there are any concerns about the GW-6900 battery. It's a CTL1616 which is fitted in most solar-powered G-Shocks.

    Welcome to the forum!
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

I've got one from just 5 weeks ago. I was fairly anal about the charging and it went from Med to high with no problems, stayed there, and it's worked perfect the whole time. With no doubts, it's the best digital watch I've ever owned. Just about as good as it gets for a G-Shock.

I've got mine for 6 weeks now and it works fine. We didn't have much sunlight the last weeks, but it is still at 'High'.
