Confused Battery usage while in warehouse..

If the watch was created in 2012 and sold in 2016... doe's this mean the rechargeable battery life is down by half of its lifetime (or more)?

If it's a rechargeable battery, which means a solar-powered watch, and sitting in a warehouse for four years, it's almost surely gone into "power save" mode. The problem is that these batteries are only rated for about 10 or 11 months from "full" to "almost empty" so if the battery sat empty for three years THAT can be hard on the battery and shorten its effective life.

There's no real way to tell how long one has been in a warehouse until or unless you receive it and can decipher the serial number for the date it was built: https://forums.watchuseek.com/f17/res...ml#post5559633

Even then, there's no way to tell if the people selling the watch were exposing it to light and keeping it charged.

No, definitely not. These were made in the 1990s, still on factory batteries......Raysman....the original solar charged G-Shock. The module goes to sleep in the dark, shutting off the display and using almost no current.
