'Best' Atomic Solar / Waveceptor G?

I know the word 'best' is pretty subjective and open ended but since this is a discussion forum I'll leave it as such

Anyhow now have a couple of waveceptor Gs, namely a GW-002 and MTG-900. Neither get worn often and I'd class neither as keepers. That said the atomic accuracy is useful so I'll have to hold onto one at least until a suitable replacment can be found. So which should it be? Any recommendations for a decent looking atomic G? Can the new atomic gulfman be beat?

Of the Atomic G-Shocks in my collection, my favorite is easily the GW-5600. I personally think that this model is one of the finest looking G-Shocks yet made, and no stupid time stamp feature.

From a functional point of view, the GW-5500 probably has the best module.

Currently I have two waveceptors, a MTG-920DA and a GW9000 Mudaman. I prefer the Mudman for looks and functionality. the MTG has been a great watch, I've owned it for several years now and it's served me well. The features on the Muddie however are better. I agree the timestamp is something I'll never use.

If they could 'G' it up, it would be perfect. Well, nearly.

Having said that, the Pro-Treks are pretty darn rugged watches. Not up to G standards, no, but they can take quite a bit of punishment.

Although I love the ruggedness of the G's, there's something to be said for the idea that if you are exposed to the kind of environment that can wreck a Pro-Trek but leave a G unscathed, you've probably got more important things to worry about than the safety of your watch.

Still... a G version of the 1300... mmm...

I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

Atomic Mudman and GW-5500 are also looking good

In the UK, IIRC there isn't a Euro version of the GW-5600 so that rules that one out...

    +1

Although I think my next waveceptor is the gulfman, or the mtg-1000
