    The Frogman's look awesome!

How about something in the $150 and under range?

I was looking at the Riseman, and while I was intrigued by it's looks, the feature set didn't exactly blow me away...

Anyone know if the GW2310 wears similarly to the 6900's?

That's weird. Many people consider the Riseman to be one of the most feature-rich Gs, probably because of the alti/baro functionality which is absent from all other Gs at the moment.

What particular features are you looking for?
The Search function on vBulletin forums isn't very smart. If you want to search for a complete string in the G-Shock forum, or for posts which include multiple words, use Google, and enter site:forums.watchuseek.com/f17 into the search box. Then use normal google syntax after that to enter your search.

Wow, I totally meant to say the Gulfman. My bad.

For instance, I was looking at theGW9100, and while it's a smart looking watch, it doesn't appear to do all that much considering the price.

My criteria are pretty simple, really. I want something with metal (all resin isn't my thing), solar/atomic, I'd like to have day and date as well. Other than that, a rally timer would be nice, but it's not a must.

The GW2310 seems to fit the bill, but it's not too popular of a model around here, and I'm worried that I found out why that's the case the hard way.

The GW-9100 and G-2310R would be among my favourites.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

Does the GW-9100 only have date and no day?

You toggle between them, if I remember correctly. The watch does have some compromises, but it looks and feels more 'grown up' than some. That's an inadequate description but it's the best I can do...

Here's a picture of the one I used to have (only sold because of my self-imposed limit on the number of watches I have) -

Re: Best/Favorite Digital G With Some Metal?

Thanks for the info., tribe. :thanks

I like both the 2310 and the 9100 Gulfman, although I have to say I am not wild about the polished inner part of the bezel on the 2310. Yuck.

So are there any more digital G's out there with metal components (not all metal) I should consider?

The 9100 Gulfman seems like the one to go for, but I'd still like to mull over my options and get some more input from the G fanatics around here.

I'm not too bothered by the 9100's inability to do both day and date at the same time, however it is a bit of a quirk.

To top it off, the Gulfman costs $132 whereas the 2310 only runs for $87.

    Ok...now I'm terribly confused...

    9100 Gulfman or solar/atomic 2310? :thanks
