Question Best G-Shock For Large Wrist

Hello everybody, I'm in the market for a new G-Shock and I'm wondering if there are certain models that come with longer than average watch bands for people with a larger than average wrist size, preferably, a Tough Solar/Atomic model. If they are all similar in size, is it possible to add links if I were to get a watch with a metal or steel band? Thanks in advance for any help.

you can get just about any model and add strap adaptors and a zulu band and it'll be perfect. Search the forum for zulu and you'll get numerous sources and retailers.

I've seen people state that various models of the MTG line have huge bracelets. This is based on reading Amazon.com reviews.

I suggest you go to the nearest stores and shop around. Put the watch on and see if you like it. Then search for the best $$ you can find.

The prg-80's have long strap and so do the g-2300 series. The gw-9000 has a long strap and I assume the g-9000 will have a long one too.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I just measured my wrist and it's about 8 1/2 inches. I should've stated that in my first post. I'll look into the MTG line and see if they fit or can be made to fit with additional links. The Zulu band looks like it would be much more comfortable than a metal or steel band and I might check that out, also. Thanks again for the advice guys.

A Triple Crown Frogman on 24mm Zulu would be my suggestion. The Zulu is very comfortable, and looks great on the Frog. And the Frogman is, well...just about perfect. It would be the perfect combo for a large wrist.

    FROGMAN with standard resin band.

The band is very long as it's made to go over a wettie

bryan i disagree witht he strap on the g-2300 i hav eone and the strap was very small i had to put a new band on it but go for the g-9000 or go one of the PRG models stay away from the PRG70 you will love the PRG 80 or the PRG 90

The FROGMAN is the best for a large wrist as it has a fairly long band which is made to fit over a wetsuit!

I was able to try on an MTG910DA at a local JC Penneys and it fit! In fact, it was probably too big and I might have to take a link out, if I got it. I liked everything about the watch, except that there isn't a countdown timer. If only it had a countdown timer I would have bought one immediately, even though they were asking $150 for it and I've seen it cheaper online. None of the MTG atomic/solar watches have the countdown timer feature, correct?

I looked for a Frogman watch but they didn't have any on display. Also, the Pathfinder watch they had was a little snug on the wrist. I think it was the PAW1200 and had the resin strap.

Thanks again for all your expertise and suggestions.
