The best watch for a vacation...

... is probably not a 60 year old Seamaster which the watchmaker who serviced it warned me never to get wet. The great weather in Wollongong & with a day at the beach planned, I decided it was time for my first square Casio (I have a Riseman at home I wear when i'm feeling athletic). I had to buy it at a retailer & probably paid far too much, but I got a G5600E. I love how comfortable it feels (the Riseman always feels a bit bulky to me) & how easy to read the dial is. I should have gotten one years ago...it's suddenly clear to me why the different 5600s have been so popular for so long!

Ha, that is my go-to travel watch as well. I spent something like $120.00 CAN for mine. Best money spent. Next to my DWD5600P-1D which may become my second travel watch. I usually take 2. I commend you on a fantastic choice with the G5600E. It really has everything. Not to mention it fits so well under sleeves so considering travel and outerwear changes it is perfect. I just glides under sleeves. An issue I have with other G's is they are bulky, mind you I like that, but for travel? Convenience is the key. And understated enough
to not draw unwanted attention in developing countries.
