Off Topic post A bit off topic. Post pictures or stories of your LED watches... if any of you have one.

As a child of the seventies I remember being mesmerised by the very first
LED watch I saw, so much so that I still remember that day in the late
seventies over 30 years later. From that moment on all I have ever worn
is a digital watch and I still love them to this day....

I only own two watches a GW-M5600 and a new Seiko SBPG001 (Great watch)
but I never did have an LED watch. I look at them from time to time
on ebay and the like and wonder if it would be worth buying one or should
I just leave it to the fond nostalgic memory of my childhood. My favourite
LED watch manufacturer was naturally Pulsar... beautifully built but very
expensive at the time and my favourite model was the one pictured below.
The 3502 with the touch sensitive buttons from the lateish seventies.

These things go for £200 + in NOS or mint condition and as I'm not a
collector I think I would end up just selling it again as I hate owning
things I do not use.... So if a may live vicariously through you kind and
gentle folk please post a pic or a fond story of your LED watches and let
the seventies rock once more... please and thankyou...

    Cheers,
    Rico.

I don't have one of these, but was going to ask a related question-there's an advert on the televsion in he UK at the moment for EON, an electricity company, in which you see an LED watch briefly; I was wondering if anyone else had seen the ad, and could identify the watch?

It's an all black watch, on a bracelet I think, and instead of a mechanical button it seems to have a touch-sensitive pad to turn on the display
    'I never done it'

    Now that's a square I could wear.

This reminds me of those vacuum tube displays that were common in the 70's. I used to love them. Here are some Nixie clocks like that...

    Cheers,
    Rico.

Thank you. The two on the the outside are Executives. The one in the middle is a PII. Roger Moore wore the silver version of the PII in the 1973 Bond flick "Live and Let Die". All 3 are fully functional. You adjust the time on the PII with a setting magnet that stores in the clasp and you hold up against either the "hour" or "minute" indents on the caseback.

Excellent Pulsar LED website if you want more info:

I'd love a good steel P2. I wish I'd bought one ten years ago, when you couldn't give them away.
