nice! although it's waay too blingy, even for a girl like me. I'm going to guess you probably won't be taking that on a hike in the forest?

Very shiny and looks cool but it's too impractical to use it as a G-SHOCK.
    Have a great day!

I'm guessing you're more likely to see those in a dance club than on any kind of rough terrain :). But yea way too sparkly for me! Heck I am bordeline with my white GA-100.

I bought my first G-Shock, because I always bump into walls, doors and other objects (see my latest 50 Gs article). Making it blingy is quite controversial to me. Just make G-Shock in cool colors and I'm happy. On the other hand, if you are happy with your blingies, I'm happy for you

    Cheers,

    Re: Blinging some Gs!!!

This sort of bling outside on the bezel is not very practical. If sterling silver is used as a base it will gradually darken and not look so nice after a while due to oxidation. Also it becomes sensitive to sudden and large temperature differences as well as water, especially salt water. If you heat the watch up when soaking up sun at a hot tropical beach and the core temperature of the watch reaches 50 degrees Celsius and then you want to go swimming, then the sudden cooling of the bezel can cause the stones to fall out. I have also seen reports of people losing some stones just because a sudden and heavy rain fall came.

So I can not recommend blinging external parts, it is a anti G-Shock thing to do...

However one thing that is not harmful to the G-Shock concept and one that I have contemplated doing sometime in the future is to get a blinged up face plate inside the watch face of a DW-6900. That can look juicy and is not something that affects durability. So if you want a blinged up G then I recommend doing just the inner face plate.

Sweet! I have been waiting for someone here to get some of these so I could ask the following: Do you find the aftermarket bezel to add a lot of weight to the watch or is the feel comparable to a regular G, in this case the 6900?
