Boiling a G9000 resin band to fit

Can the strap on my G-9000 be boiled to fit the curve of my wrist without damage to the resin?

Yes. The first thread even talks about using a coffee cup to make the strap bend to fit your wrist:

Yes. Have done it to a few different with no problems and good results. Won't make a huge difference, but will help.

Not exactly a huge difference but certainly very noticeable. While I dont own a Mudman, I have boiled the bands for 6900s and I have noticed that the band immediately starts feeling more supple and flexible/.

Instead, I put a GW5000 strap on my GW6900, the strap is comfortable and doesn't flare out as much as the OEM 6900 strap

Thanks, I'll give it a shot this weekend. I was worried about ruining the resin.

...which is great if you've got a GW-6900, but that won't work for the G-9000 that the OP has. The G-9000 has a very different strap and strap attachment system.

What I plan is to boil water in the kettle and pour over the band and let it sit awhile and I'm only doing the non buckle side.
