    Button Tones. 2310 and 7000

    Hey guys,

I have been looking at the G-2310 and G-7000, and like them both quite a bit. However, I was wondering if you could mute or turn off the button tones that go off anytime you change modes. I really hate the button tones, as its an annoyance to be in public and have my watch constantly beep when I want to set alarms or change modes.

Oh and one other question for G-7000 owners. How is the stainless steel braclet on it? Does it 'pinch' your hairs like some braclets do? How is the overall quality?

    Thanks!

I have the G-7000. I don't think there is a way to turn off the button beep when switching modes. I wish there was. Maybe someone here knows how, but I think it would involve removing the spring inside the case, and this turns off ALL souns, including alarms, so that isn't much of an option.

The stainless steel bracelet on the G-7000 is very nice. It doesn't grab the hair on my wrist at all.
    regards,
    James

    Hello TomG,
From memory the G-8000 when released, was the first G-shock to enable a user to toggle the beep. If the g2310 does also, than it's news to me. There is no mention of it in the manual and I haven't discovered it.
If you are really set on turning the chime off, then perhaps it may be an idea having the watch opened and the spring removed. I would recomend your local Casio service centre handles this task should you choose it.
Ofcourse, that would render your alarms and hourly chime function inoperable.

Best of luck with what ever you do.

    Hi TomG,

I have the G-7000 & many G-2300, none with the mute function; have you looked at the G-9000?; it has the mute function for the buttons, and the Alarm & TR will still sound in this modeB-).
