Are the buttons on the G9000/9010 too stiff or just right?

I am doing this poll to see if I am the only person on F17 who has never found the Mudman buttons difficult.

I think I must be the only person on WUS who doesn't have a problem with the buttons on the G9000 Mudmans, in fact I actually quite like the very positive action and pressure needed. I have a Tag Heuer Monaco and the buttons on that are stiff and much more unpleasant to use in comparison, every time I press one and the button eventually gives with a crunching sound I keep thinking I've broken it, It was like that from brand new and is fully serviced, nasty horrible buttons. I do, however, also like the easy to push buttons (GD100/Gulfman/MTG900/ as well but I have no problem adapting to a watch with stiffer buttons.

I have seen on WUS people who completely discount one of the best minimalist Master G-Shock models simply because of the buttons...insanity in my view.

Hi - Yes they are stiffer than the normal. I have seen a page on this site that explained how to boil the resin in water to make the buttons softer and here's a link. Though I haven't done it to mine. https://forums.watchuseek.com/f17/mud...up-439250.html

Despite reading vehement complaints from some users about the buttons being too stiff, I have no problems whatsoever with the ones on my 9010.

Too stiff imo if you will be using them on a regular basis.

Definitely stiffer, but not a problem for me. I also assume the buttons will wear better than those on my beloved DW-8400 models. (Over the years, some folks have developed cracks or holes in the resin covering those buttons.)

Those buttons ruin a very nice watch.

Too stiff imo. Although trying to get the snooze alarm to stop does help with waking me up.

Too stiff. I don't think I'm a little girl with no muscles, but they are simply uncomfortable (like the strap btw.) and the ability to easily push a button also with cold or wet or greasy hands, is as much important to me as the wearing comfort of the watch itself.

    cheers

But the buttons are large and textured such that it's practically impossible for your fingers to slip on them.
