    Buying on Amazon vs Casio

Relative newbie to G Shocks, and am wondering if anyone had any thoughts on where it's best to purchase. I am looking at the GWF-1000-1 and there's a pretty big price difference between Amazon ($460) and buying direct from Casio ($700). I generally feel comfortable with Amazon, but that price difference makes me a little wary. Any thoughts?

I imagine Casio's official site is selling items at list price, or MSRP, whereas Amazon is a retail seller which charges street prices (retail price, in most cases). If it's sold by Amazon, there really isn't much reason to fear at this point. They're one of the most reliable retailers available. And from what I've seen, $400-475 is actual retail for the Frogman.

Best deal depends on where you are located & the related tax situation.

One great deal on eBay @ $339 + $20 shipping in U.S. ... a couple more in the $410 range.

Rakuten starts around $414 + shipping.
"watchuseek" ... From a lost indigenous dialect ... meaning ... "Bet you can't buy just one !!!"

I almost always buy G-shocks on Amazon. Decent selection, decent prices, and fast shipping. I don't think you have to worry about authenticity on Amazon.

In fact, I just looked on Amazon and bought one for $410. With prime and overnight shipping I should get it tomorrow!

Re: Buying on Amazon vs Casio

I bought my Frogman used on this forum in 2012 for 500.00 dollars and thought I was getting a good deal because at the time the best price was 750.00 on Ebay. 410.00 seems like a good price, almost makes me want to buy another one. I would not hesitate to buy one from Amazon. I recently got a very good deal on a Prw-3500 from Amazon, very happy.
