Buying New Old Stock/ Discontinued G-Shocks

    Hi all,

was looking at a couple discontinued G-Shocks that are listed as new, never worn. One of the watches was discontinued in 2007.

What, besides probably having to change a battery soonish, might I have to worry about? What should I look for for potential issues?

    Thanks

    Moved to main forum.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

As long as it's NOS/not worn the worse thing that can happen is you have to change the battery and maybe the gasket.
    Cheers!

I also agree, that unless the watches have been exposed to extreme heat (which can exacerbate battery leakage), they'll be perfectly fine to use. If the display looks dim or fades when pressing the light button, then that's a sign of a low battery.

Some of the best deals can be had buying discontinued G-Shocks, depending upon the model and condition for the price.
