Can there ever be another master of g series

With the way all of the Master of g series technology has trickled down to other G shocks ie raysman's solar power antman's waveceptor do any of you think casio will ever be able to relaunch another masters of g series. I just don't see how they could come up with tehnologies as revolutionary as what was done with the previous masters. Maybe I'm wrong.

    Hello Versionpardner,
I think some people would love to see a riseman/wademan remade. Perhaps adding features like being able to switch from F to C temps. Even the same features but with an improvement in sensor accuracy/precision would sell well. I think the success of their pro-trek range should tell casio there is demand again for these type of watches. Although given the latest MUDMAN series, I wonder what more features you could pack into the remade RAYSMAN.

People are already calling for a remade FROGMAN (with waveceptor)

Great idea if you don't mind me saying. Interesting to see what Casio does. They'll have to make the watches BIG, I think would be cry.:-D

    Hi Version -

Obviously their could be, although I think nowadays, people wouldn't pay the high prices that dictated the quality of the original Japan Masters

Looks like they will bring back the same names, although totally different watches

The original MASTER'S were definitely different to todays models

The resin/rubber/plastic material they used to use feels very different, and the newer displays don't appear to display the digits as dark black as the original's.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this:-S

I would love to see new reiterations of the past masters. A waveceptor Gaussman would be most welcome! Or how about a 2006 model Codename packed with some more quirky spy gadgets? Imagine a codename with a built-in USB port and a 3 or 4 gig flash drive inside? Freaking awesome. And let's not forget a protek version g-shock or what Anton called the G-Trek. That would be cool too. (I haven't heard from Anton in awhile, hope he's ok.... )

That would be the ultimate spy gadget Codename Data!

I totally agree with Loco, an Pro-Trek version G would be the ultimate.

Actually, all Casio needs to do is wrap a PRG-80 with its G-shock technology bezel/case; and we have a new Masters of series.... maybe called: PRO-MAN or TREKMAN or something.

I believe a future technology that Casio can work on, is further developing its atomic waveceptor technology to catch signals from any point on the earth; even out of range of the atomic signals.

I agree to a certain extent that the new masters are very different. Just compare the classic and modern mudmans. They look worlds apart. However one objective still remains. They are both mud resistant. Moreover judging from the caseback of the new mudmans, i have to say that they are more well built. I believe many will agree.

The new models are also more affordable and will appeal to the masses. The original masters were heavily priced and i believe not everyone will pay the original price tag of 30000Yen for a Raysman.

The only master that has maintained its quality and standard is the frogman. I believe Casio knew that frogmans are still very much in demand and thus continued production. If one day everyone feels that frogmans are out, Casio might just stop production or remake it into a more affordable version.

To conclude, the new mudman is value for money and the demand is overwhelming. Thus Casio might remake the orignal masters and make it more affordable.

    cheers~SKy

    Hi Sky -

I don't think the new "MUDMAN" is any difference in quality to to the current non JA G-Shock's, hence the very cheap price which compare to many other's on EBay.

I think the MUDMAN is a cheap little watch that is good enough quality.

I can not however compare it to an old MRG, GULFMAN, FROGMAN, WADEMAN, or RAYSMAN, did I miss one:-D

P.S. Rieko needs to write you something. Hope you can read Japanese

Re: Can there ever be another master of g series

I would hope there would be a new series, and that it would offer some new technology, and try to be a bit different.

I can imagine some advertising "experts" at Casio saying that tastes have changed and people want stylish slim metal waveceptors and that's it but they're

    WROOOOONNNGG!
55 watches. 30 Casios. Appalling bank balance!
