Can't decide. U.S. or Japan version of 9300 mudman?

Looking for some help from someone who's got one already.

I definately am gettin the GY (gray) version.
I really don't care about the atomic , since I hardly ever sync them. I just love the carbon fiber strap.....

Stinks it's basically twice the price shipped in from Japan...

Is the carbon strap worth it?

How much and where could I get the carbon straps to put on the reg version?

The carbon fiber strap on the gw9300 has a thin strip of carbon fiber sandwiched in the middle of the resin strap. When your wearing the watch you do not see the carbon fiber. You will only see the cf insert if you take off the watch and look at the strap on underside. The cf strap will cost you over $80 dollars were as the regular resin strap will cost you around $15. IMHO I do not think the cf strap is worth over 5 times the price of the regular resin which basically looks exactly the same.

I think u might have talked me out of it. I'll probably get the u.s. version since I don't care about atomic. Worst case I could buy the carbon strap

If you don't care about the atomic feature, just get the non-atomic. I have tried both and they feel the same on the wrist. I wouldn't buy the Japan version just for the strap.

Why is the atomic model of this watch only sold in Japan? Will it ever get to the US? Why does Casio release watches like this that are basically the same, but either with or without the atomic feature? Kind of stupid if you as me! I would buy the watch now if it were sold here in the US if it was atomic. Why should I settle for the watch that isn't atomic? I bet if I wait a while, the atomic watch will get here and be a lot cheaper. Again, my question is, why does Casio do this???
This country needs more people like Sergeant Alvin C. York, Tennessee's Hero. The movie is great, its main focus is on Jesus Christ and Sgt York's journey to being born again, a true story!
