    Question Casio AMW 710-1AV questions

After receiving a Morellato strap for my PRG270 and then putting it on my MTD-1010 to see what it would be like, I thought about the MDV-106. But since I already have an Orange Monster and the MTD-1010. I want something else. I came across this one. Stainless steel case. Nice looks (subjective of course). It has enough alarms for me, and ample STW and CDT with auto repeat. I know the lume will most likely be as bad as my 1010 but that's ok.

Does anyone own this one or the three other variants? If so, are the buttons plastic (I hope not) or metal (yeah!)? The model does not appear to be that old. Javy's website had them dated at 2010. Was this a non-U.S. release only?

The case, other than not being a screwback looks top notch from pictures.

Buttons are metal but the display font is really tiny - I hope you have good eyesight. I looked at it a couple of times in stores but never pulled the trigger because of that tiny display font. Features are good however and it looks nice in real life.

    cheers, Sedi

    Thanks for the reply Sedi,

I read your review page from July 2011 a couple of days ago of your AMW-707 and others and liked what I read.

What drew me to this model was the stainless steel case, divers style, and feature set. I did not want the "Hunter" version. This one seems to be an analog version of a GLX 5600. I only need the display for alarms which are the same on my watches for my kidney transplant meds every 12 hours (or as I call them "my stay alive drugs") and the timer is used for my 8 year old son's reading time.

Are there any other stainless steel options I've missed that will not break the bank?

    Have a good day Sedi,
