Question Casio Databank (DBC-30) Water Resistance

Hey all, I recently picked up a Casio DBC-30 for a good price and I was wondering what is the water resistance (if any). I have tried looking on casio.com and it doesn't mention anything about it. The manual says to look on the caseback and it only says "DBC-30 Stainles Steel Back Made in Thailand Y."

This all leads me to believe it is not water resistant but today I accidentally took it in the shower and it got sprayed for a a second or two and seemed fine. I don't intend to test it further. Anyway, I was hoping that perhaps some of you might know if they are waterproof (or not) by experience. Thank you for reading!

Despite this, I really do like the watch, especially for the unique look, the bright illumination, and the data feature; though it feels pretty flimsy after wearing G-Shocks and such. I'll put up some pictures of it too:

    Hello furrotik,

    nice watch you have there!
Regarding the Water Resistance: you are right in suspecting that it OFFICIALLY is NOT Water Resistant! However, in practice these watches withstand mild splashing very well, meaning washing your hands or walking in a drizzle, causing DROPS of water to get on the watch is no problem. But notice the DROPS part; getting it really wet is a completely different story and definitely something you should avoid!

    Enjoy your DBC-30!

Thanks for the help Freddy & Stockae.

Good Lord Freddy, you sure have a lot of Databanks. You need to post a group photo of them all.

Do anyone know if they make any water resistance models with retro colors?
