Casio DEP-700..... what can you tell me about this watch?

    G'day guys -

so I received this one as a gift from a mate in the US after I sent him a couple of straps

It was a total surprise & I knew absolutely nothing about the watch when I opened the box

I've never seen this type of Casio before (I have more than a few G-Shocks) and it looked really cool with what I discover is a depth sensor etc at the 9.00 o'clock position.

The battery was dead so I go get that replaced, and I picked up the watch yesterday..... this thing ROCKS

Check out how much info is on the display at a glance..... time, date, day, year, month, temperature!!! How cool is that?

It still had the original black rubber dive strap on it which was in great nick but I thought I'd try it on a zulu strap..... I wish G-Shocks had lugs so that you could swap them onto a zulu strap as easy as this.

What a cool gift, and Ti as well.... I love it

Anyway, just thought you guys might like to check it out, or be in a position to tell me a bit more about it?

    :thanks

I have seen that they are selling this watch in a watch-store here in Stockholm. It would be great if you could tell me something more about the watchs functions. What about the stopwatch and timer for example?
I tried to search for the manual (1472 must be the module number i think) but couldnt find it. It is rather expensive so there must be a real "hit" if I am going to buy it.

I think it has the following features

    Pressure sensor
    Temperature sensor
Dive Mode - auto measurement of depth every 3 seconds, dive time, water temperature every 20 seconds. Surface interval measurement function.
Log Memory - auto storage for 20 sets of dive log data
Dive Profile - stores max depth reached every minute
    Daily alarm
    Hourly time signal
    EL backlight
2 year battery with low battery warning

    Hi,

That guy was really kind with you :) This is a quite rare watch. I have one too and it is one of my favorite watches. Is medium price on ebay (europe) it is around 150 Euro.

    You are very lucky ;)

    You're right.
I've actually been sort of looking for one of those and I tell you they don't appear on the 'bay very often....

I have one myself, bought it in Germany in 1996 for 1100 D-Mark (~530 Euros)

what can you tell me about this watch?
The DEP 700 is, if I remember right, the titanum version of the steel dep 600. And the reason for the rareness might be, that the titanium was only (~) 6 month available, and is 'only' a divers watch, not a computer.
(I love it! Hate only, that the log is gone with a batt. change!)
And around that time, the citizen dive watches had a price below 1000 D-Mark. So a good product a bit overpriced in a market dominated by citizen.
