    Casio dw 002 dye job

After buying a dw 002 , i decieded to dye it from yellow to black using rit dye.as you can see,the first attempt turned the back bezel black, and the front bezel (yellow bits ) turned a brownish red.this looked ok,but i was trying to get an all -even black colour.....so back to the dying pot it went.

Combining rit black with tangerine....yes tangerine ( this according to the dylon site, helps bring out the black) which is made up of dark blue etc..i think ive achieved the right colour now.here are some pics of the process

I did like your initial dye job... very unique. But the final came out looking sharp. Strong work!

Re: Casio dw 002 dye job

I had the same problem with my MIY Gauss. It turned black initially, but then became a greenish/olive color. I then used a ton of black liquid rit and so far it's holding.
If it doesn't hold, I'll try adding tangerine. Never considered that
    Thanks for the tip!
