    Question Casio DW290 strap question?

    Hello all,
Recently I bought this Casio (DW290) and how we all know they come with a plastic buckle .While I was searching for a replacement strap I found a pic of the same casio 290 but with different strap with metal/steel buckle. I wonder if it is the original with which the watch came or is later changed ? And can I still find such a strap ..Are other casio models manufactured with it/that still come with it ?

    Thanks in advance!

The strap looks like the DW 290s stock strap, i guess someone just swapped out the buckle. The strap is 19 mm wide at the buckle end. Not a common measure on the aftermarket, but quite common on Casios of that era.
I checked my parts box, but i only have 20 mm and wider buckles atm.

DO they all come with a plastic buckle? I just saw another one for sale with a metal buckle: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Casio-DW-290T-20-BAR-Vintage-must-have-watch-/190726318603?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item2c682caa0b

PacParts still has the "stock" resin band available for order --

-- maybe give them a call and see what the buckle on theirs is made of?

All DW 290s i had did have teh plastic buckle (as long as tehy came with teh stock band, the y all had been bought 2nd hand). the 3 or 4 replacement straps i ordered did have teh plastic buckle, too - but maybe the early ones did have a metal buckle? Maybe we should have a look at those DW-290 fan-threads we have.

That is exactly what I am looking for also.. I really like how the strap feel on my wrist .. so if somebody can tell me others casio's that have compatible (19mm) buckle..like the one in the pic.
    Thanks

OK I see that you know well the search function and you used it for the dw290 but there is no need to revive all the zombie threads related to this watch.
