Casio Edifice ECB-10: A new CasiOak?

Just saw these announced on the Casio International website.

It's an anadigi with Bluetooth but no solar. It also has some new features with the Bluetooth connection allowing it to do notifications for scheduled start and end times of events on a calendar. Can also automatically correct to local time when changing time zones, not sure if previous Bluetooth watches did that.

But possibly the most interesting thing about it is the octagonal bezel, probably influenced by the popularity of the GA-2100. I feel these look even more like the Royal Oak with the metal body and screws. Funnily enough they market it as "The watch face features an octagonal bezel studded with four screws, evoking a professional power tool used for racing car maintenance."

Measurements are 51.0×48.5×12.5mm, and will be available in 5 different models (can't post links yet so add a www at the beginning: casio-intl.com/asia/en/news/2020/0122_ecb-10/ )

Personally I think they look fantastic, just a shame no solar battery.

Bluetooth without solar is worthless, and i love Edifice. you'll be changing yearly.

It's actually bad point of many modern Edifice watches.... they are too big. Also since they are stainless they heavy too. solar powered for some reason may grow to humongous size.
Which technically closed most of modern offerings for me.

Great looking watches. However, I have the same sentiment, without a solar power charging capability it is a no go. I do wonder how long the battery would last because of its Bluetooth capability.

My one and only Bluetooth without solar (a g squad model) didn't even make it through one year before needing a new battery.

Here's the link the OP was referring to: https://www.casio-intl.com/asia/en/n...0/0122_ecb-10/

Total of 5 different variations to choose from according to the press release above. Personally, I'm not a fan of the sub dial between 7 and 8 o'clock. I'd rather want the face to be cleaner like the GA-2100.

    Jonathan
