    Casio G-Shock AWG-500J The G,any owners

Out there?I like it but the LED light doesn't quite light up the mini dials but is really quite powerful enough to light up position of the analogue hands !Anyone managed to decipher the Japanese-only instructions?Thankyou in advance!

    Hi Ever,

Got mine a few weeks ago; great watch; I work in bright areas so I'am not worried about the display; got all the functions working, even with the JP instructions; let me know if you need any help with setting up functions.

i always find that the LED is too bright for viewing the dial and hands at total darkness

my eyes need to adjust to the brightness again in order to read whats the time

and it can't light up the digital display (always the case), hence the all the digital function becomes useless (almost)

i am hoping that Casio will address this issue soon for the analog/digital G's

let us know (post here) if you know help

    Hi ever,

The Atomic function works great for me; I live near the east coast of the US; set the watch to "auto sync"; If this is your first time using the Atomic function, you we need to experiment with location & direction to sync the watch; all my Atomic watches work every time in a north direction in a closet cabinet; the signal will bounce around; hope this helps.

I totally agree with You regarding the LED also what i don't quite understand is that the marker at 12 O'Clock is luminous as are the tips of the minute/hour hands but not the other markers?Still a nice watch! .

    Hi Guys,

Took some pics of my AWG-500; the first pic is very dim, but does show the 12 o'clock marker is luminous, just doesn't last very long; over all a cool G-shock. Note: the Atomic sync indicator 1,2, & 3 on, showing a good time sync, very cool.
