    Casio Oceanus G-2000C A1

Any opinions on this elegant watch? The only reservation I have is its slightly large diameter @ 46mm, as well as its price ($2,200) . I haven't come across many reviews of this watch. It was released about six months ago.

Never heard of it, however, after reading the below review, I wouldn't mind it myself if I was much wealthier than I am LOL

It just popped out at me that you joined one month before me 7 years ago, yet this is your 1st post! Welcome at last to the forum. By the way, 46mm really ain't that big. After wearing a GWG1000 (56mm width) for a couple of months, it doesn't seem big, but it does make your other watches feel very small!

That watch also caught my eye when I spotted & tried on an unusual 'leather' strap version recently...

That one is too pricey to be on my radar ... but it is totally gorgeous. If you have the lettuce, I would drop it in a heartbeat.

Oceanus line definitely has "C L A S S" splattered all over it, but agree that it's a pricey option. Deals on older but very handsome models always on ebay

Oceanus is top-drawer Casio assembled on the Premium Production Line in Yamagata, so you can't really go wrong in terms of quality. And as Stephen watch said, 46mm is pretty average these days for Casio, and my guess is that this watch has a slimmer profile than most G-Shocks that will make it not wear too big. That being said, for this amount of money I personally would spend a few hundred more for an MR-G.

"When the shadow of the sash appeared in the curtains it was between seven and eight o'clock and then I was in time again, hearing the watch. It was Grandfather's and when Father gave it to me he said I give you the mausoleum of all hope and desire.... I give it to you not that you may remember time, but that you might forget it now and then for a moment and not spend all your breath trying to conquer it."
