...it was like hunting down Santa Claus for my X-mas presents ...almost.
I went home from work on my lunch break to see if my present arrived, but only found a "I came by, but you weren't home, and your signature is required. You can pick up your package after 6AM tomorrow" postal note. Screw that! Luckily my house overlooks the valley and I was able to spot the mail man after sitting outside for a few minutes. So I hopped on my scooter and chased him down. Got it! Went back to work and opened the package in the lounge. Forgive the low quality pics, they were quickly taken on my lunch break with my iphone.
Got the watch from Toku Chino in Japan in just 4 days (that includes the weekend)! Came with two free postcards. Chino gets an A+ from me.
Took off the lid = upside down and sad :(
Right side up and happy :) First thoughts = "wow...seems kinda small." I think the stealthy face makes it look smaller than it really is.
Next to my GW-5525A. Notice the time/date difference. The 5000B was last synced on August 23, I guess with the Japanese clock. My 5525A has to be set manually since the auto sync doesn't work in Hawaii.
The band is shorter and thinner, yet softer and rubberier
The larger and almost mirror like screw back:
And finally, on my skinny wrist:
This watch is pure quality. It puts my GW-5525A to shame. If you're thinking of getting a GW-5000B, do it! It's worth the money IMO.
