    Chinese tariffs?

Will the Chinese tariffs effect prices of G-Shocks sold to the US market if those G-shocks are made/assembled in China? Casio is Japanese company, so this should avoid that problem, yes? (Are there any G-Shocks even assembled in China?) Just wondering. Thanks.

Ignore the news, you will be better off, just look at several different places to buy your watch and pick the best rated seller and price.

If anything I’d be more inclined to believe that all G-Shocks are cased in China

GTR stands for George The Rabid. Fanboy of COSC (Casio - Orient - Seiko - Citizen, in that order )

Several, higher end, models are exclusively made and cased in Japan.

I don't know if it will affect Gshocks but I bought a new Multitool last week. When I was shopping around I saw that the price had gone up significantly in recent months.

A number of cheaper G’s are made and cased in China. As been said, always shop around for the best price

You bet. With 25% tariffs on certain goods made in China expect that to have an effect on most other consumer good made there.

On the bright side you do get to take repairs to your private jet off taxes. :)

Really, this is a trivial question, come on. If it's that much of a issue buy only "JDM" versions.
How much tariff is there on the watch you are talking about! I can almost see a issue if it's a 7000.00 dollar watch, Almost

Thanks for the responses. I don't know how these tariffs are/will be structured. Time will tell.

    Re: Chinese tariffs?

You can check list of good under tariffs increase. It will clarify matter more than asking here on the forum or guessing.
As person living outside US i find paying US export tariffs on used watches huge deal breaker when it comes to buying from US on ebay.
Bottom line when in doubt buy from country which is not affected by tariffs.
    It should be special!
