    Choosing a G-Shock: G-6900 VS DW-6900

I dont know what G-shock to choose that will suit me most. I am debating between the G-6900-1D and the DW-6900MS. Whats the difference?

    Re: Choosing a G-Shock: G-6900 VS DW-6900

DW6900 is the most basic 6900 model with battery only and the three eyes only counts seconds and minutes but nothing else. It has one alarm, stopwatch and a CDT. The G6900 is the same 6900 look but with a completely different case and bezel, the G6900 is Tough Solar with more functions than the basic one with world time, 4 alarms, in addition to the CDT and stopwatch. The Three eyes also have much more useful functions and tell you whether the Auto El is active, if you have it in mute mode, if you have it in PS mode, alarm settings and also monitors the battery level. There is another model the GW6900 which is identical in looks and case and bezel to the G6900 but has additional Atomic function. Hope this answers your question.

Um no. How are the case and bezel completely different? Please share that one with me

G and GW have the same dimensions, but DW don't. Take a look at this thread made by Sjors.

Read the thread when Sjors posted it. But terming it "the G6900 is the same 6900 look but with a completely different case and bezel"... I consider completely different to be like the difference between a Volvo Tractor and a Ford Festiva, not the difference of those case sizes.

If you need to see the current time in STW and CDT, then go with DW6900, otherwise, I would go for G6900

The only part I disagree with is that the G has a better module. While both the DW and G have a CDT, the DW6900 has the option to have the CDT Auto Repeat. That function alone makes it the better module for me. The fact that it shows current time while in CDT mode is icing on the cake! Also, because their are MANY, MANY more versions of the DW6900, spare parts and many different "sets of clothes" make it the best watch to give it a truly "personal" touch. The possibilities are endless.

You're right I worded that wrong, I seem to have unconsciously swapped the word "slightly" with "completely". I was also going to add the sentence " hence you can't put a DW6900 module into a G6900 case or a DW6900 bezel on a G6900" but obviously in my excitement to be the first to help the chap out I messed up both those items. I do apologise and I will be checking my wording in future, sorry for misleading.
