    Codename DW-8800

    Hi,

    after a long search for this G-Shock i got one for 17€
    Its like new, only the Batterie is empty....

    Now i try my first Batterie change

    Here pictures from the beauty:

    Hi Klaus,

    Great find. I think you like the Codename Cipher. Just two technical remark2.

    1 (probably told you 1000 times), watch out for the springs falling out of the module (I believe this model have 3!)

    2 I had once very much trouble with resetting this watch. Just try resetting until the watch shows 12:00 and starts counting (just bring the watch above your head and watch, do not turn around). If even a lot of times doesn't work, take the battery out and leave it out for a day and try a day later. My experience is that this Codename can be very stuborn. I believe the Fisherman has the same stuborness sometimes.

    Thanks Sjors,

    i have a DW-8800 years ago.
    After a Batterie change at a Casio Service i get it kaputt back !
    Now i know why...

    Its a masterpiece for the first batterie change...:oops:

    Congrats, that looks like a tidy watch . I almost bid on that one myself, trying to build up a Master of G collection, but i spent too much already, Cipher will have to wait

    today i buy some cr2016 and silicone grease and changed the batterie.
