    Colouring a G-Shock display

Has anyone considered this? I think it would be possible with a bit of coloured film over the display in the same way the polarizing film is used. Since a G's normal crystal background is grey, it could be easily tinted.

I've never done this mod myself, but I've seen a bunch of them. There's a Korean eBay seller that had a bunch of Gs modded in this way. It's going to make the digits less legible, but if you pick the right color combination it can look nice.

Give it a try and post some photos here.

with the amount of crazy coloured models about, you could mix and match parts instead.

Well, there it that, but then none of those have atomic and it could get pricey. Riley, have you got any shots of the mods that eBay seller did?

    Here's an extreme example:

Just do a search on eBay for "custom g-shock".

These two displays are pretty nice.
This one resembles the Real Black displays. And they both look much nicer and more legible than that rainbow one you showed Sherms.
